Finding beauty in all things thru my lens

Finding beauty in all things thru my lens

I had a wonderful adventure this past weekend.  The weather was cold and dreary, but there is always something to shoot.  My husband and I went out driving around, like we do on so many weekends. looking for that special something, to take a pictures of.
We came upon a large, abandoned home.  The roof was starting to fall in, the walls were barely hanging on, and it was not fit for anyone to live in.  But, you know what?  There is always something beautiful about these old, dilapidated homes.
There was a time when It was full of love.  A time when a family was kept warm inside these now fading walls.  Laughter rang out in all the rooms, as food was cooking in the kitchen, which is now only rubble.  I can visualize a couple sitting on the vast balcony, wrapped in a throw, watching the sunset as they sip a glass of ice tea.
Every time I walk into one of these forgotten beauties,  my heart races with excitement.  I can not explain how I feel.  I connect with these old homes and old farms.   I wonder what it must have been like when it had a loving family.  I do not understand how these lovely homes are left to ruin.
I guess what I am saying…You can find beauty in many things.  Just look.  Allow yourself to feel.. To
connect… To become one with your subject.
